We are proud to announce our Partnership with FUJIFILM Printlife to bring you BDC Magazine, a luxury lifestyle publication that marks a major step in building a national economic consortium of black Canadian creative talent.

Black Designers of Canada has partnered with Design Embassy Group and  FUJIFILM Printlife in conjuction with Design Embassy Group to produce the inaugural print edition of BDC Magazine, a luxury lifestyle publication celebrating design and culture through a distinctly Canadian lens. This partnership represents a powerful creative and business collaboration that leverages each organization’s strengths to amplify Black Canadian voices in design.

Through this collaboration, FUJIFILM Printlife’s expertise in high-quality, customized digital printing solutions aligns with BDC’s mission to elevate creative storytelling. This partnership extends both organizations’ reach—offering BDC’s members access to superior printing services while reinforcing Printlife’s leadership in serving Canada’s creative industries.

Curated with intention, BDC Magazine merges storytelling, design, and photography to spotlight Canada’s most compelling creative voices. Each issue features leading Black designers alongside industry allies, collaborators, and global influences shaping modern design culture.

As a business-to-consumer platform, Printlife specializes in delivering professional-grade, tailored printing solutions that enable creators to bring their visions to life with precision and excellence. Aligning with BDC supports Printlife’s purpose-driven approach to inspire and enable creativity by providing premium print craftsmanship that builds lasting brand value.

To further empower the BDC community, FUJIFILM Printlife will introduce an exclusive discount code for BDC members to use on its website. This initiative encourages collaboration and fosters long-term partnerships with creative professionals seeking high-quality print solutions.

“In today’s digital world, print offers a rare sense of connection and permanence,” said George Sully, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of BDC Magazine. “FUJIFILM Printlife understands that craftsmanship and storytelling go hand in hand. Together, we’re creating something tactile, collectible, and true to the spirit of Canadian design.”

The partnership also benefits BDC’s community of over 300 members by providing exclusive access to FUJIFILM Printlife’s professional printing services for lookbooks, brand collateral, and visual campaigns— key resources that support designers in building their businesses and expanding their market reach.

This collaboration creates mutual value: BDC gains access to Printlife’s advanced printing capabilities, while Printlife deepens its engagement with an influential community of creative professionals. By combining creative vision with print innovation, both advance their strategic goals and contribute to the growth of Canada’s design landscape.

“FUJIFILM Printlife is excited to collaborate with Black Designers of Canada,” said Tevfik Djamgouz, Vice President of the Printing Solutions Division at FUJIFILM Canada Inc. “This initiative is about more than printing; it’s about supporting creative expression and connecting with a vibrant community of design professionals shaping the future of Canadian style.”

Through FUJIFILM Printlife’s partnership, BDC Magazine will serve as both a cultural document and a dynamic platform for creative exchange— connecting people, ideas, and design to drive meaningful impact. Leveraging Printlife’s high-quality, innovative printing technology ensures every issue reflects the vibrant creativity and craftsmanship of the design community, while reinforcing Printlife’s market leadership in serving creative entrepreneurs.
