Mer Des Dieux (translated to Sea of Gods) uses imagery, nuance, and motion of the natural aquatic world to create contemporary menswear pieces that, like the wondrous nature of the ocean, bridge the gap between mystery and functionality.

MDD was developed by two free-thinking creatives with a hunger to push boundaries. Bred in the turbulent waters of North York Toronto, Andrew Nyarko and Pierre Bimwala grew from childhood friends to business partners, attempting to translate science-fiction fantasies into clothing that spoke to their youthful rebelliousness. Their debut collection titled Diving Only integrates their thirst for knowledge and scientific inquiry with the alien, untapped energy of marine life.
